This policy explains how AquaVue Security Inc. (“AquaVue”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your information when you use our website and the AquaVue app. It is written to meet the GDPR, UK GDPR and the California CCPA/CPRA.

1. Information we collect

• Name, email, mailing address and phone number
• Payment information, processed securely by our payment providers (we do not store full card numbers)
• Account login details
• Anything you send us through forms, chat or support requests

• IP address, device and browser details
• Pages you visit and how you use the site and app
• Approximate location (precise location in the app only with your permission)
• Cookies and similar technologies

Information from third parties

• Social platforms, analytics, payment and advertising partners
• Apple services, if you link your Apple ID

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data without your clear consent.

2. How we use your information

• To run, maintain and improve the website and app
• To process orders and payments
• To answer support requests
• To send updates and offers, with an easy way to opt out
• To detect and prevent fraud
• To meet legal obligations
• To provide app features such as push notifications, with your permission

Under the GDPR we rely on contract, consent, legitimate interests and legal obligation as our legal bases.

3. How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

• Service providers such as hosting, Google Analytics, Stripe and our CRM tools, under data protection agreements

• Anyone else only with your consent

Limited information may be shared with Apple when you use Apple services in the app.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies, pixels and similar tools for core site features, analytics and, where allowed, personalized advertising. In the app, we ask your permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency before any tracking. You can control cookies in your browser settings.

5. Data security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including encryption, access controls and regular reviews. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work hard to protect your information.

6. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it or as the law requires. For example, tax and financial records are kept for 7 years. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

7. Children’s privacy

The website and app are not meant for children under 13 (or 16 where local law requires). If we learn we have collected a child’s information, we delete it promptly.

8. International transfers

Your information may be processed in the United States or other countries. For transfers from the EU or UK we use Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions or other approved safeguards.

9. Your privacy rights

• Object to or restrict how we use it
• Receive a copy in a portable format

• Opt out of marketing

We respond to requests within 45 days and may need to verify your identity first.

10. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents can ask to know, delete and correct their information, opt out of its sale or sharing, and limit the use of sensitive information. We honor Global Privacy Control signals and will never treat you differently for using these rights.

11. EU, EEA and UK residents

AquaVue Security Inc. is the controller of your information. You have the rights listed above and can complain to your local supervisory authority, such as the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. We do not make decisions with legal effect about you using only automated processing.

12. Third-party links

Our website and app may link to other sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices.

If we make important changes, we’ll update the date above and let you know by email or in the app.
